NOWRA + RCAP Workshops & Train-the-Trainer Sessions

As part of the partnership between the Rural Community Assistance Partnership (RCAP) and NOWRA National Onsite Wastewater Recycling Association (NOWRA), the two organizations recently announced a series of free workshops and train-the-trainer sessions to be held across the country. The first workshop was held in early April in Des Moines, Iowa, and three more are upcoming in April, May, and June.


These sessions include:

📅 April 22-25, 2025

🟠 Strategies for Addressing Onsite Difficult Sites for Septic System Professionals
📍 University Place, Washington State
📅 May 13-15, 2025

📅 June 10-12, 2025

WWETT Show 2026 Call for Presentations Is Open

The WWETT Show 2025 just passed, but it's not too early to start looking forward to next year's show! The Call for Presentations has recently opened, and the show is seeking both new and experienced speakers to present engaging sessions at WWETT26, scheduled for February 16-19, in Indianapolis, Indiana.


Topics of interest include:

Rainwater Harvesting: Overview and Solutions for Capturing Rainwater

This presentation will review the process of collecting and storing rainwater for reuse in order to reduce reliance on conventional water sources. The goal of this in-person training course is workforce development related to system management including the operation, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of decentralized systems. The course describes fundamental concepts of wastewater characteristics and treatment processes and illustrates the importance of periodic operation and maintenance to ensure longevity and optimal performance. Attendance at both days of the workshop is required.
